9 Misfortunes that befall us and we don’t realize are blessings in disguise


I’m not a religious person. In fact, I’m anti-religious — if that’s a thing. I believe that organized religions create significantly more anguish than they do good. History will back me up on this regard.
However, the concept of religion itself does have its benefits, mainly because it allows people to stay hopeful. It gives meaning to life when people can’t find meaning on their own. It allows them to see the good in the seemingly horrible, especially when it comes to their misfortune.

While travelling to their village for the weekend, a middle aged nursing mother, her three months old baby and husband had an unpleasant encounter with an eight-man gang a few days ago in Kogi state.
The eight man gang dispossessed them of their cash and valuables at gunpoint, took them in the family car to a near­by bush where they tied the husband and raped the wife who was at that time breast feeding her three-month-old baby.
