Manchester United are set to wrap up the deal of highly
sought-after Liverpool target Arturo Vidal, after the midfielder agreed to a
£182,000-a-week contract at Old Trafford according to La
Stampa.
The Chilean midfielder has been the subject of severe
interest from the likes of United this summer, with Juventus unwilling to sell
their star man. There had been reports that the Italian champions were holding
out for a £40 million fee, but it seems they are now willing to do business.
Reports surfaced this week that Vidal could be on his way
into the club, which would spell the end of the road for Marouane Fellaini.
Juventus put a deadline of August 6th for any dealings to
occur between Louis van Gaal’s side and Juventus, which was met by the Red
Devils. Vidal has reportedly agreed a five-year contract with United and will
earn a remarkable £182,000-a-week on his deal.
Vidal has been sought-after by a number of clubs this
summer, but Man Utd have been firm suitors.
