Arsenal are set to seal the signing of Colombia
goalkeeper David Ospina from Nice.
The Gunners need a new back-up goalkeeper following Lukasz
Fabianski’s move to Swansea City and Arsene Wenger
has identified Ospina as the Pole’s replacement.
Ospina, 25, has spent the past six seasons in France with
Nice and been capped 45 times, with five of those appearances coming during his
country’s impressive campaign at the World Cup this summer.
French newspaper Nice-Matin claim the goalkeeper has already
agreed terms with Arsenal, while the Gunners are just thrashing out the final
details of the deal with Nice.
Arsenal are expected to pay a fee of around £3.1m for
Ospina, whose existing contract at Nice expires in June.
